The exciting work within ECOSY takes place in many fields. Among theme, there are also those, which are covered by ECOSY Networks.


What do the ECOSY Networks do?

ECOSY Networks are established to connect members of the member organizations and organise work in specific thematic fields. The activism of Networks is reflected through:

  • Networks' resolutions and declarations
  • Networks' press releases and announcements
  • Networks' Newsletters
  • Networks' meetings at each of ECOSY activity
  • Networks' tents at the ECOSY Summer Camps
  • Networks' own activities
  • close cooperation with the IUSY working groups
  • sustaining the relations with partner organizations working on the same fields


How many Networks there are in ECOSY?

ECOSY Statutes defines 3 Networks, which are also historic ones - created in the end of 90s and at the beginning of the century. These are: Feminist, Queer and Students.

Additionally, Statutes foresees possibility for the Bureau to create next to these permanent ones - also the ad-hoc networks. On the basis of ECOSY Activity Plan 2009-2011 these are: GPYF (Global Progressive Youth Forum) Network, Migration and Integration Network and YFJ (European Youth Forum) Networks.

This summarizes to 6 active Networks within the current ECOSY Mandate.

 

Who organizes the ECOSY Networks?

Much of the activism is related with the framework given by the ECOSY Congress - through Position Paper and Activities Plan. Additionally, the Networks' Coordinators are in charge of updating agenda, preparing the policy analysis and activities. They are supported in their efforts by ECOSY Secretariat and can use for it assigned parts of the ECOSY budget.

Who can participate in the Networks'?

Everyone, who is the member of ECOSY Member Organisation. The easiest way is to ask your organization's Bureau Member for the Coordinator's contact.


Who can receive the Networks' Newsletters?

Everyone. It is enough to fill in the subscription form.
