Young Socialist Dream

The Socialist Group in the EP is organising 4 debates for young activists between December 2008 and March 2009. A good occasion for Young European Socialists and Social Democrats to debate topics that concern our generation. “It will be taboo-free and young people can share their concerns.” The first debate, 10-11 December, will be about migration and integration. Secretary General promotes manifesto

ECOSY Secretary General, Ania Skrzypek, promoted our 9 deliverables for 2009 at the Socialist Group meeting in Manchester. She spoke at the conference "Equality and community in the workplace" with Jan Andersson (MEP, Chair EP Employment Committee) and others. Ania underlined the need for more and better jobs, especially for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
President promotes manifesto
ECOSY President, Giacomo Filibeck, promoted our 9 deliverables for 2009 at the PES Presidency last Thursday. He promoted the idea of "building a citizens' Europe by engaging more young people in policy developments and enlarging the scope of youth exchanges."
50/50 Campaign for Democracy
In 2008, men occupy 77% of parliamentary seats in the European Union. In 2009, we will elect a new European Parliament. The 50/50 Campaign for Democracy urges decision-makers, political parties and all European voters to act for a better representation. JOIN NOW!

Renewing Social Democracy
FEPS has launched a survey to find new, concrete and innovative answers for Social Democrats that help tackle the daily concerns of people and to overcome the new challenges of the world. The outcome of the survey shall be presented during the launching conference of FEPS in December in Brussels. Please contribute here!
