RED&Pink

Dear comrades,

ECOSY is calling for contributions by ECOSY Member Organizations for the upcoming Red&Pink Newsletter, the Newsletter of the ECOSY Queer Network which is going to be published on the17th of May, the International Day against Homophobia.

For the 3rd time, ECOSY is going to publish this special edition of the newsletter, underlining the ongoing work of ECOSY to fight homophobia and other forms of discrimination against LGBT people and to struggle for a society where diversity in forms of living is available for everyone.

ECOSY - throughout the last years- worked in a variety of activities and throughout a range of resolutions for the right to be queer.

Therefore ECOSY is calling its Member Organizations to contribute to the upcoming newsletter through articles and reports which are focusing on - fight for LGBT people to be equal in civil, political and social terms - fight against homophobia and other forms of discrimination against LGBT people - promotion of the concept of diversity within our societies, with an eye on LGBT issues.

We are also welcoming articles which are focused on the work on LGBT issues within ECOSY member organisations and the situations of LGBT and equality in our societies.

The deadline for any contribution is May 3rd 2008 at midnight. Please send contributions to ECOSY Queer Network Coordinator Conny Paatzsch.

Thank you for your support in this important project.

Socialist greetings,
Conny Paatzsch
ECOSY Queer Network Coordinator

The CAP

Michel Barnier, France's environment minister, said that Africa and Latin America should consider their own versions of the CAP.

I agree, the current food crisis proofs farm aid is essential.
I agree, but wonder where Africa and Latin America are going to find their own versions of the EU’s €40 billion CAP budget.
I disagree; protecting agriculture = killing people!
I disagree, Barnier only said that because France wants the keep the EU CAP as it is now.
